Bob Cene Park is located in the heart of Struthers, Ohio.  Located in the Youngstown-Warren Metropolitan Area, 60 miles from both Cleveland and Pittsburgh, and only an 8 hour drive from Chicago and New York City, Struthers, Ohio offers all the advantages of a small town and easy access to the big city. The community is served by Interstates 680, 80 (Ohio Turnpike) 76 and Ohio Route 11, the Lake Erie to Ohio River Throughway.  The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, Cleveland Hopkins Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport are all nearby.  Bob Cene Park occupies a site that was once part of the former Struthers Coke Works.  Through the efforts of the late Bob Cene, Sr., his sons Bob, Jr., Paul and Jim DiBacco the site has been transformed into a first class recreational facility.  The complex consists of three major league proportion, lighted baseball diamonds complete with concessions, press box and bleacher seating.  The construction of the SR616 Bridge over the Mahoning River offers a panoramic view of the river valley and Cene Park “The construction of both facilities greatly changed the view of the downtown area, especially as you enter the downtown from the north,” stated Mayor Mamula.  “It is especially impressive when the baseball complex is lighted,” he added.

Struthers is only 10 minutes away from the Boardman-Canfield area which is flooded with restaurants and large shopping mall.  There are many golf courses in the area as well as cinemas. Struthers, Ohio, in Mahoning county, is 3 miles SE of Youngstown, Ohio (center to center) and 53 miles NW of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The city is considered part of the Youngstown – Warren Metropolitan area.
